=Part 1: The Beginning=
And the journey begins. I enter Oak’s lab to get
registered. “Are you a boy or a girl?” Gee, I wonder.
Nobody ELSE online seems to get it right, so I guess it’s a
valid question. BOY! And my name is, as you all know, Leaf.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get this show on the road!
Now, I know everyone’s doing the super-extreme “no-healing”
crap, but I say to you NO. I’m not that intent on ruining
my sanity, dammit, and it is NOT an official rule, so nya.
So first order of business: I’m getting that freakng
Potion. And we’re off! It’s time to choose my pokemon.
So what do I pick? A Bulba- wait, no, she’s a Ralts! Her
name: Sophia. And Gary gets a- FUCKME IT’S A LARVITAR. This
is the definition of a “fuck my life” moment. And we have a
battle RIGHT after this, too… why us? (If you’re
wondering, the 3rd choice is Machop.) Thank GOD Bite is
still a Special Attack in this generation… And thanks to
Gary spamming Leer for all but 1 attack, I win. That would
have sucked to have my career cut short before I even get
out on the road.
Now we’re off to… what the hell. Why are there doors in
the middle of these trees in Pallet Town? I need to look
into this… The one on the right leads to… NAVAL ROCK.
FUCK NO. One, no legendaries allowed, and 2, I ONLY HAVE A
LEVEL 5! Back into the door… and the other one leads to
Birth Island.
Now that that’s done, off into Route 1. Pick
up a Potion from the salesman, and… make it through
without running into a wild pokemon? WOW. Back to Oak’s
with his whatever-it-is! And STILL no wild pokemon! Yay,
that means I can actually catch a pokemon from Route 1!
Give Oak his box, and get my dex. …I have to enable the
National Dex or Sophie can’t evolve… don’t ask why, I
have no damn idea.
